World Day of Prayer

UCAV Was Again Host Center

On September 10, Unity Church of the Antelope Valley for the 5th year, was a World Day of Prayer host center and held a prayer service at 7pm in the sanctuary.  Unity World Day of Prayer is an annual celebration to affirm peace, abundance and love on an individual and global level.

 

Guest soprano, Cheri Stark sang "The Prayer" and two other prayer songs. Ms. Stark is currently performing with the Long Beach Opera’s educational outreach program singing in the one-woman opera, "The Diary of Anne Frank" and recently appeared in their January 2009 production of "The Cunning Little Vixen."

 

This year’s theme, "Reach In, Reach Out, We Can Change the World" reflected the importance of going within for guidance and then reaching out to help others. Together we can create heaven on earth. NEW THIS YEAR! Everyone was given the option of having the names they submited for prayer appear during the interactive online prayer vigil.
