Sunday Service Guest Speakers

Faith Rivera Concert at UCAV ~ August 2, 2008

Faith Rivera is an Emmy-winning singer and songwriter. Born in Kauai, she has been featured around the world, working with best-selling authors Marianne Williamson and Neale Donald Walsch, as well as Grammy award winner Daniel Ho and the Honolulu Symphony. (www.faithrivera.com.)

On Saturday, she conducted a “Choir Practice” workshop for about 10 interested church members. No experience was necessary! She trained this new group to sing two songs with her at the Sunday service on August 3. Everyone who wanted to have fun singing, improve their singing skills and be part of the choir were welcomed!

On Sunday, Faith performed during the Sunday service and presented the new “choir.” She then gave a concert from 12:30 to 1:30. A potluck lunch followed the Sunday service. Many thanks to Gerry Kent for chairing this event, and to Women of Unity for organizing the potluck.
