Anton Mizerak & Kim Lorene Performed at UCAV On September 17th, Unity Church of the Antelope Valley presented an evening of gratitude and life celebration, through the transformational healing music of Mount Shasta recording artist, Anton Mizerak and Canadian singer-songwriter and guitarist Kim Lorene. Background on Anton and Kim Anton and Kim have toured extensively together over the past ten years, with over 185 performances since August 2008. They have been featured musicians at the Seattle Sacred World Music Festival, the UCRS Asilomar gathering and at Unity Village. Kim Lorene's inspirational songs open the hearts of her listeners, and Anton's CDs have been top sellers among healers and massage therapists.
Anton has been performing on piano and harmonica since 1968. In 1986, he began studying tabla (classical Indian drums) in Kathmandu, Nepal with Homnath Upadyaya. Much of Anton's music reflects his cross-cultural musical experimentation combining harmonica and synthesizers with traditional Asian melodic and percussive instruments. He is literate in Sanskrit, with an M.A. in the History of Religions and has an intimate understanding of Asian spiritual and musical traditions. His music has been featured on the nationally syndicated radio show "Echoes" and on dish network and direct TV's New Age music programming. His latest CD "When Angels Dream" has been a top seller with healers and massage therapists. Many people have seen Anton at churches, symposiums and retreats over the past ten years. Kim Lorene grew up surrounded by the lush green forests of coastal British Columbia. She travels and shares her music throughout North America, Europe, and the U.K., always listening for the music that the earth has to share. Along the way she gathers stories and writes about the beauty and love found in nature, in people, in animals, and in the spirit which connects us all. With her deeply moving songs and her angelic voice, Kim connects with the heart of the listener and invites them to join her in a world filled with wonder and with the joy of being alive.
